It's Fun For Family
Iwappara is a long-established winter resort with a history of over 70 years. The night skiing at Iwappara was the first in Japan, and the resort has been enjoyed by many skiers and snowboarders for many years. Families and beginners will feel very comfortable at Iwappara on the main, wider and gentle course – perfect to learn on. Why not take your first steps in skiing or snowboarding at IWAPPARA?
Ease of Access from Tokyo
Iwappara is very easy to get to from Tokyo. It is located in the town of Yuzawa which is in the south region of Niigata Prefecture on the border with Gunma Prefecture. Yuzawa can be reached in about 2 hours by car (using the Kanetsu Expressway from Tokyo) or just 67 minutes using the Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo Station. Iwappara is less than 10 minutes from both the main Echigo Yuzawa station and Yuzawa I.C.

The Kids Park
For small children and their families, we recommend the ""The Kids Park”. Sliding on a sled and playing in the snow make is great fun!
Long and Wide cources!
It's a full 4km from the peak of the resort to the bottom! But you can have a break if you with and take in the magnificent views of the Tanigawa mountain range to the south. Remember your camera!

A piace of barn
There are few snowslide accident and danger area in the IWA-PPARA. Here is in a peace of barn that widened a sheet from the Mt.Iiji. It's in piece to have you use it!
Iiji Giant Slope
The Iiji Giant course has a maximum gradient of 35 degrees, providing a challenge for even experienced riders. Are you ready for the challenge?
Long Run Time
Iwappara is open from 7:00am in the morning until 8:30pm, giving skiers and snowboarders a long day to enjoy the slopes. The various conditions from moring until evening can be experienced. We recommend the night view from the top of Mt.Iiji!
Lift System
Our ski lifts present can transport up to 13,200 people for a hour, so you will seldom experience any waiting times.
The Park for Ski and Board
Iwappara has 2 parks and and a halfpipe. It's easy to join in, and even a beginners can challenge the items. Our staff are present and always willing to give a helping hand.
Facilities
At the foot of a mountain is "Resort Center 1” which has free rest room open from 1:00am to 5:00pm. "Resort Center 2" is located close to the kids park on the mountain.

In IWA-PPARA, there are 3 schools , suitable for all levels of skier and snowboarder.
Parking
Almost all the parking areas are asphalt and equipped with water pipes, so you can always access them easily – even in heavy snow conditions.
